A Brazilian Endowment for the Arts (BEA) promoverá a Quarta Literária no dia 25 de outubro de 2017, a partir das 19:00, com o poeta e professor João Maria Cícero.

João possui doutorado em Estudos Hispânicos e Luso-Brasileiros pelo Graduate Center, CUNY. Ele dá aulas de língua portuguesa e suas literaturas na Columbia University em Nova York.

A escrita e performance de João aparecem sob o nome de João Maria Cícero. Seu último livro, Corpo(s) (2016), foi publicado pela Editora Giostri em São Paulo. Ele também colaborou com um coletivo de escritores latino-americanos para o livro The US without us (Sangría Editores 2016), publicado em Nova York e Santiago, Chile. Suas performances já aconteceram em Nova York (2016) e São Paulo (2015, 2016 e 2017). Ele mantém seu trabalho aberto a todos no site www.joaomariacicero.com


On October, 25th, at 7pm, The Brazilian Endowment for the Arts and the Brazilian Library in New York promote the Literary Wednesdays with the poet and professor João Maria Cícero.

João has a Ph.D. in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Literatures and Languages from the Graduate Center, CUNY. He is a Lecturer on Portuguese language, and teaches courses on Brazilian and Lusophone culture at Columbia University in New York.

João is also a published poet, who writes and performs as João Maria Cícero. His latest book, Corpo(s) (2016), was published by Giostri Editores in São Paulo, and he collaborated with collective of Latin American writers for The US without us (Sangria Editores 2016), published in New York and Santiago, Chile. His performances have happened in New York (2016) and São Paulo (2015, 2016 and 2017).
